This modern residential complex has been realised for Amarant in Tilburg. This complex with 31 apartments and a recreation room, which meets all modern standards, has been built for people with a mental handicap. The construction commenced in December 2012. The handover took place in December 2013.
The location was previously home to the Noorderligt cinema and Pop Podium Noorderligt. An urban design suitable for the new location of Amarant was created with the building constructed in a square around an inner courtyard.
The residents live here in a closed environment, but are, nevertheless, in the middle of the city centre. The fine collaboration between all parties concerned (client, user, contractor and architect) has made it possible to realise this project in an attractive manner.
